I am sad...
My best friend from childhood is leaving to go off into the air force on July 8th this year. So, I probably will never see him again (or for at least 4 years)...unless i can find him during the holidays or when he has time off. I knew that he always wanted to go into the air force but it just seems so sudden and i am really sad now....time flys by way to fast.

I was in a similar position 3 years ago,when my best friend departed England for Denmark,you say that you COULD see your friend again,but my friend,I have no chance seeing him again 
GUNPEi,I know how you feel man,and its possibly one of the worst things that can happen to you,but you said that time flies by,so lets hope those 4 years do just that ;)

its sad because i have been best friends with him MY ENTIRE LIFE and now i wont see him ever again or at least for a long time. Plus, with the war now, even though he wouldnt go into service til after boot camp he still has a chance of being a casualty of war biotch. You are so insensitive snowboard.

That's some rough shit, Ricky. Sorry to hear that.. but your friend has a pretty good chance of living through any war we're involved with.. I mean, you could at least look at it that way.
