What was the single greatest gaming experience you ever had?

Mine was when I first played Super Metroid and realized how fucking sweet of a game it was.

It is hard to decide between everything that has happend to me, but one that comes to mind is when I first hooked up my GCN. I hadn't seen one hooked up anywhere, no store demos, nothing. I got it launch day and hooked it up. I started it up and I fell in love. Everything was so clean and smooth. Loading times were insanely fast on Wave Race, and the rain looked so awesome. You can see each drop and they all make indents when they hit the water. I was so busy with the graphics I almost lost the race... almost.

The original zelda on the nes.. never got so much into a game since or before that time.

i'm not sure.

It could be when i first experienced Sega Channel!!!
That was the greatest invention of all time!!!

And all the AAA+++ Games on Dreamcast i played......

I went over to a friend's not too long ago and we played the first Super Mario games on her Nintendo... it was hilarious... and fun... and nostalgic...
