of the more recent FF's, FFVII had the best storyline. by far. though it was worse than the japanese VII's storyline (because of a really shitty translation). On top of that, Materia kicked major ass. VIII was the most well rounded, everything about it was decent. nothing extraordinary, but still good. IX sucked big time. the story was just stupid, the battle system sucked, and i hated the characters. X was better than IX, and is tied with VIII. the only thing that sucked about X was that Tidus and Wakka were both morons.

id like some proof to go along with that. half of those are developed by squaresoft, the same masterminds behind the final fantasy series. they could call each one something else.


its the title that throws most people off. each one is its own story within itself, and you dont need to know about the last one to play the current one.

so shutup if you have no proof to back your opinion.

Meh, 1, 3 , and 8 are the only good ones. I recently found my FF 7 for PC and thought it blew ass water. FF 10 is the worst though. I felt as though i was watching a fucking movie. It recorded 30 hours of completion but 15 of that was watching FMV's that wernt that good.

Just because something is overated doesn't mean it sucks.
I'm just saying most people think Final Fantasy is one of the best RPGS ever... (Most will either say 7 or 8)

but not the case, its far from the best and the ones i listed are just RPG's i've played that are much greater than any FF games but don't more praise because they aren't an ff game....

Vagrant Story = Skies of Arcadia > Grandia 2 > Kingdom Hearts > Chrono Trigger > Chrono Cross > Panzer > than all FF games....

Yeah there were a shitload of FMVs, but I didnt mind since the battle system kicked ass, and I just spend like a day leveling up to stomp Seymour.

FF8 has the best battle system(using Magic, Junctioning,collecting GF's which are great) also the bosses are awesome
