Has anybody played Final Fantasy 8? I have it has great graphics, and great gameplay.

its undeniably one of the best games made for the playstation, even if a lot of people say ffvii was better. i think viii is better, just because of the plot (give me depressed antihero over ex-soldier nut guy anyday), and because of triple triad...oh the long nights i would spend just playin triple triad!!!

I loved this game. But most people didn't. It's probably because of the huge change in gameplay it made from FFVII. I think that most people just expected it to be more like that. You're either going to love or hate the juntion system. ;)

The graphics are great for PSX. And you should notice a small differance if played on a PS2 when the PSX driver settings changed.

Anyway, great game. Pick it up if you haven't.

one of the best games ever. i have it 2. the game rocks. it beats the stuffing out of ff7. i dont really like that 1 cause the small characters and stuff. i cant play my ff8 anymore cause disc 1 is damaged.

how is ff9 though?

^ I just got FFIX, yes, I know I'm a little late.

I'm on disk 2 now, and it's pretty fun. But I can't say the battles were that enjoyable in the beginning. Only lately have they been fun. And the story is nice. The graphics are great for a PSX game, if you care. ;)

I'll say more when I get done. I think theres something wrong with disk 2 though. Or maybe it's the PS2. But the game already froze twice on that disk, both last night. Hopefully, this won't continue.

Gamers always expect the next Final Fantasy to top FF7, but it seems 8, 9, 10 failed on that. How can you be so sure that 11 will top 7?
