Hey Carnage, I was thikning about picking up Tactics Ogre. Is it really hard to read the screen? I heard they made a lot of things really small, so they could fit everything in. And how's the story, is dark like FFT? And are there anyother good SRPG's for PSX?

I'd say get FFT. It's easily one of my favorite games on PSX.

well the thing about Tactics Ogre is, the makers of Ogre Battle Series (Quest), were taken by Square to make FFT (the Creator and his Team), so in essense, Tactics Ogre is almost identical to FFT in terms of gameplay.. (it was released before FFT tho)

but i love the classic story of Ogre Battle... i just remember as a younger teen playing the game on SNES, and i love it... great story, that evolved with my hero, and i just carried that onto Tactics Ogre.. and found it alot more enjoyable than FFT..

another Strategy RPG i enjoyed was Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth, but the game is fairly difficult.. proceed to it with caution... other than that its pretty solid

Tactics Ogre was released before FFT? I think you're talking about the SNES one. Not sure if it has the same name. How's Tactics Ogre for GBA?

FFT is a great game. i have been playing for a while know and it has come to my attention that it is 1 of the greatest rpgs out there.

Tactics Ogre was released on Both SNES and PSX before FFT (both of em)

Ogre Battle Came before that

and then Ogre Battle 64 came afterwards on the N64

i have yet to play the GBA one

FFT was good. I can't find myself a copy though.
