Favorite Author
Inspired by the thread "What is..." where we found out the MORE in Movie, Music, TV, and More could mean books, here is the question.
Who is your favorite author as of right now?
My personal favorite is Tom Clancy. His series that he produces the storyline for and someone else writes, Netforce, is what I am currently finishing up. They aren't as good as his books, but they are still great. He goes into so much detail on all of this high-tech equipment and military procedures that its amazing. The last book I read by him was Hunt for Red October, which was really good, and short compared to most of his other books. Its not even half the size of Rainbow Six, which was his first actual book that I read.

I just love Science Fiction in general, but Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman wrote good novels...Tess Gerritsen too...there's a ton of them

Madeline L'engle used to be my favorite author. Probably right now I'd have to say Ayn Rand or George Orwell.

I've been into Stephen King lately. In the last year I've read 11 of his books. There's also Michael Crichton. I just finished his new book Prey, and it was excellent. I also enjoy Edgar Allen Poe's writing. "Descent into the Malström" is the best short story I've read as of yet. And you can't forget Jack London. White Fang was the first novel I ever read. Dammit I can't choose a favorite.

There's always gonna be a soft spot in my heart for George Orwell... and then another one for Judy Blume, lol.
