You know, a "Save Family Guy" petition worked once and kept the show on air for a couple of more months, but it failed a second time, maybe the third time will be a charm...

It got low ratings because of a bad time slot.
It think it was on during "Friends"

I really want that show back though, it was hilarious!

I'm not too sure. One was on a site that was trying to save other shows such as Futurama. Another one was on some site called savefamilyguy.com or something like that, I'm not too sure.

Yup, the show has been cancelled and there is a Family Guy Season One DVD that will be released one of these days.

As for the reason for it being cancelled, it is unknown. There was a moment during the second season where it was cancelled but due to support from fans it was put back on TV. The last episode of Family Guy to air was, European Road Show, the SECOND episode to feature KISS! Now, thanks to my high speed connection, I can easily download Family Guy episodes. It really was a hillarious show.
