I've heard and seen lots of good reviews of Eternal Darkness on the GC and i have seen lots of footage and screenshots but i still do not understand what the fuss is all about over Eternal Darkness. Can someone please enlighten me?

I need the answer to. In a certain shop I know, I have eyed it at £30, but am not sure with metroid, AC and import thingy to buy still. and THPS4, Gameshark (play imports on), PSO, and of course Zelda in the summer.........etc etc etc. Where the f*** am I gonna get this money, the games I must get tho, are Zelda and Metroid. AC will never get a PAL version

well if you are looking for a survival horror game with a cool storyline, as well as one of the coolest effects to bring about in a game and a magic system that actually involves thought in its creation of magical skills, look no further. ed:sr offers maybe 10hrs of gaming fun, wrapped up in the basis of sanity. the coolest feature is the sanity, and when you are insane, things such as enemies that arent there appear, and i remember one time, it made me think my game had been deleted while saving. good fun, and worth it. maybe not worth $50, but its definately worth playing. try it and see, because overall, its not that bad.

...I was disappointed in this game. I would have rather spent the money for staring at the ceiling than playing this game. That's how much this game blows.

If you are into Resident Evil, or Silent Hill, then ED is worth more than a look. Where as most horror games try to scare you, ED takes a different approach by making you insane. This game literally toys with your mind.

This game can really mess with your mind if you play it for too long. After about 2 hours straight of playing it I had to stop because off all the insanity things that had been happening. I was actually starting to hear things that weren't there and stuff. Like someone before said, if you into the survival horror type games this is a great game. You have to use skill to kill enemies while solving puzzles. The insanity effect is a great new thing for gameplay. It switches controls around, makes pictures bleed, statues move, etc.... I had it tell me one time after i finished a level that i had beaten the game, but in all reality i was only 4 levels in. It's a sweet game in my opinion, definitely worth a look i your a Resident Evil fan.

I had to stop out of boredom. The insanity effects sounded cool, but they weren't all that scary. Wow, blood is dripping from the walls, the screen turns black, etc. Not even the dead chick in the blood-filled tub was scary.

The game might have been better if no one knew about the effects before it was released.

None of it really scared me. It was all really cool though and different than other games.

Anyone who says ED sucks obviously has a very low attention span. ED is game that tells a story, the gp and things involved do it flawlessly. If you were expecting something different you are the one to blame. Its one of the few games where I wanted to play on JUST to advance the story.
