It's really nice when you're going out with them because you're already really comfortable with them.
But the breakups really suck, even moreso than usual.

i would never go out with a good friend, simply because if we break up we could not be friends, and i wouldnt risk that in most cases.

From the (one) experience I've had, yes, because you can get to know them and their faults, quirks, etc....so that it isn't a complete shock when she picks her ears in front of you with a rusty nail for the first time.

No matter what a person thinks will happen after they break up, the friendship will never ever be the same. They could still be friends afterwards, but it won't be the same. Not necessarily bad, just... different.

Yeah, we just can't use the same nicknames that we used to... but oh well, it's strange but at least there aren't too many hard feelings. Things will be back to normal in a couple months or so.

well i think it all has to do with how you break up in the first place if you will be friends after... but friends to make better bf/gf... ive only done it once but i like to think of us still friends, we dont hang out much anymore, but i think thats just cuz she has a bf... he got pissed last time we hung out... cuz he knows we was together and still got along... hmmmmmmmmmmmm? strange ah?

Friends that become lovers, hmmmmmm I know someone where I work, we have been friends for two years, now all of a sudden we are havng drinks together and seeing each other differently, no not because of the drinks.......don't know about this yet.....
And Ducon, If I was that old girlfriends, boyfiend I would be pissed as well....Perhaps it is just that green moster known as jealousy................:cool:
