Discussion: Do video game endings need to be longer? (short)
You spend 50 hours beating a game which leads up to one thing, the ending, the last hurrah.
The ending is what? 5 minutes? 10 if you're lucky?
I want to see longer, more indepth endings.
Discuss.

Oh, well I guess it depends on the game. Some are perfect the way they are.

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance had one of the worst endings IMO. I'm not gonna spoil for anyone though, even though I already probably said too much.

But the game has a story, you also play for a story. The story of an RPG is the main thing, and you don't want the story to suddenly stop without a conclusion.

I disagree. Sure it's fun ot play the game, but an ending is vital in story driven games. I guess that's a matter of preference though... I'll let you have your own opinion.
BTW, you guys reply fast

Nah nisp, there's definite fun in watching the ending if it's a good one. Can't believe you said that!

You all got me all wrong ;) I didn't say the ending means nothing...just that a bad ending doesnt mean you wasted your time playing the game.

You narrowed down what you mean't, but I still disagree with you. Trust me if the ending in FFX was crap I wasted my time
