Did you ever think about how much we spend on videogames? - Video Games Forum

I mean... think about it... if you add up all the money you've spent..and your parents have spent on vg's it might take you for suprise.Just for me .. this gen in consoles I've spent close to 1000 dollars...and thats ONLY for one system! Now.. include the 13 n64 games at 60$ a pop..all the controllers..and mem cards. Then theres the GBA..and its games and additions. I wouldn't be surprised if some people have spent over 10k on vgs..and thats just mind boggleing...thats almost enough to buy a pretty nice car in this day and age. So... all and all.. is that mass amount of money spent worth it in the end?

all of my games including PS1 and PS2 i have about 4000 Buck$ total

PS2 (15 Games) GameCube (13 Games)

That's the next-gen consoles..

I'm not gonna count that up, plus the adapters and cables, memory cards.. controls..

Worth it though lol

17 GCN games, 2 Additional controllers, a wavebird, 5 memory cards (one off brand), 7 years of Nintendo Power, 25 or so N64 games, 20 some SNES games, 20 - 30 NES games, 15 - 20 GB games, 4 GBA games, and thats not even counting the consoles and carrying cases i have for things. It all comes roughly to $4610, just estimating how much i paid for it all and guessing on a few console prices.

i spent i think it was 300 dollars on PS2. memory card + 40. 3 50 dollar games and 2 20 dollar games. 530 dollars here on PS2.

I have nispo, and I've stopped buying games to an extent.
I would spend at least over 500 dollars in just videogames on my birthday and christmas. I used to get games in between too, so I would spend over 600 dollars a year on videogames.
Now it's down to about 200 dollars per year

This generation of videogames alone i have spent $1050. Thats 1 GCN + 13 games and 1 GBA + 4 games.
