The movies been out for about year now in Japan and has been kept in limbo as to its release in America. But it has now been picked up by Columbia Tristar and set for an American theatrical release this January (in limited release to select cities).

I presume that it will then find its way to video/dvd soon, but through the magic of the internet and an anime-obsessed friends I have borrowed a copy of the imported DVD. And GREAT SCOTT it is absolutely one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. If you want to know how good just think of all the greatest moments from the series combined and play for 120 minutes. My mind was blown by the first 10 min which tried to replicate the series to have some kind of set up for the Cowboy Bebop world, and they did it greater then the show ever did (of which my favorite was the new version of opening credits).
