You know what I just thinking about that. Because the Patriots last year started terrible. They benched veteran Drew Bledsoe (Vinny Testaverde) and went with Tom Brady (Chad Pennington). After that they won out into the Super Bowl.

New York Jets = Super Bowl?????

They can, but I dont think they will. They have a tough game against the Oakland Raiders on Monday, and then they have to play the Pats and Dolphins one more time each, and I don't see them doing any better than 1-2 in those 3 games. So, if that happens, the best they can do is 9-7, which could be good enough to make the playoffs, but remember that there are many teams that are in the Jets predicament.

Here are the teams in the AFC with a record as good as or better than the Jets:

Oakland Raiders (7-4)
Denver Broncos (7-4)
San Diego Chargers (7-4) (But in all likelihood, they will fall apart as usual)
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4-1) (That tie with my Falcons will kill a lot of playoff hopes for teams)
Cleveland Browns (6-5)
Indianapolis Colts (7-4)
Tennessee Titans (6-5)
Miami Dolphins (7-4)
New England Patriots (6-5)

That's 9 teams right there, and only 6 will make it to the playoffs. Plus, don't forget the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills who are all at 5-6 and still have a shot. That's 14 teams altoghether (including the Jets) that have some kind of chance of making the playoffs. Another thing to remember is that the Jets will lose a tie-breaker with the Cleveland Browns if it comes down to it because of their 2nd half collapse against them. So, it's going to be tough for the New York Jets.
