nah, its like this. the egg is formed as a layer of protection. there is nothing inside it, yet. then the chicken is slowly formed inside teh egg as they both expand. therefore hte egg came first, game set match.

Egg, I don't see why people don't get that...
Well atcually, it would depend on if it was born from an egg, or live birth...so there's really no way to tell. It's just more common that people say the egg probably because chickens lay eggs...so we assume it came from one.

Well, yes, the egg is the answer easiest to come by..but its only an assumption based off what we know...which isn't everything ;)

we cant just assume it was one or the other.
it could have been the chicken because it evolved from some other organism after millions of years...
or
it could have been the egg after mutating from another organism...

The chicken came first, and I don't know why there is any sort of discussion about it.
I look at it from the religious point of view, which is God made the animals. Obviously if he made the animals, He wouldn't make the child form of all the animals. He made Adam and Eve adults, therefore God would make the animals full grown. This would mean He made the Chicken first, and then the egg came as a result.

What is scientific about the chicken or the egg? Please tell me why there is something scientific about choosing the chicken or the egg.
