Well onetime a girl broke it off with me because she wanted to date another girl.
When I was younger I would just send notes but now I tell them and hug them and usually say some shit about being friends.

It's actually always been pretty mutual for me, we can both tell that the relationship is going nowhere. It still hurts though.
