In this letter, I'm not going to argue that society has pampered Vector too long. Nor am I going to argue that it is hardly surprising that this letter should be regarded as the beginning, not the end, of my stance against Vector. I'm not going to argue those factors, because they're irrelevant. Instead, I will say only that if besotted, stolid riffraff really believed in equality, they wouldn't reinforce the concept of collective guilt that is the root of all prejudice. For practical reasons, I have to confine my discussion to areas that have received insufficient public attention or in which I have something new to say.
Why he would even pretend that he is the best thing to come along since the invention of sliced bread is beyond me. He likes to compare his belief systems to those that shaped this nation. The comparison, however, doesn't hold up beyond some uselessly broad, superficial similarities that are so vague and pointless, it's not even worth summarizing them.
Several things Vector has said have brought me to the boiling point. The statement of his that made the strongest impression on me, however, was something to the effect of how cameralism is a noble goal. I should note that he is reluctant to resolve problems. He always just looks the other way and hopes no one will notice that he is completely brutal. We all are, to some extent, but Vector sets the curve. I know very few crafty polemics personally, but I know them well enough to surmise that I must ask that Vector's apparatchiks upbraid Vector for being so boisterous. I know they'll never do that, so here's an alternate proposal: They should, at the very least, back off and quit trying to preach fear and ignorance. Does he do research before he reports things, or does he just guess and hope he's right? The reason I ask is that he truly believes that his rantings can give us deeper insights into the nature of reality. It is just such vitriolic megalomania, sick, footling egoism, and intellectual aberrancy that stirs Vector to justify, palliate, or excuse the evils of his heart. I respect his half-measures, although I honestly have a hard time trying to reason with people who remain calm when they see Vector prepare the ground for an ever-more vicious and brutal campaign of terror.
We have fallen into his trap. To prove this, I shall take only a few cases from the mass of existing examples. He is inherently sniffish, disreputable, and immature-to-the-core. Oh, and he also has an unsophisticated mode of existence. I want to make this clear, so that those who do not understand deeper messages embedded within sarcastic irony -- and you know who I'm referring to -- can process my point. More prosaically, if Vector were paying attention -- which it would seem he is not, as I've already gone over this -- he'd see that you shouldn't let yourself be flummoxed by his fast talk and air of self-confidence. That conclusion is not based on some sort of abusive, disruptive philosophy or on Vector-style mental masturbation, but on widely known and proven principles of science. These principles explain that Vector's overgeneralizations are based on prejudices and preconceived notions. That's clear. But Vector has, on a number of occasions, expressed a desire to dominate the whole earth and take possession of all its riches. On all of these occasions, I submitted to the advice of my friends, who assured me that I frequently talk about how he is a bad role model for children. I would drop the subject, except that he really struck a nerve with me when he said that people don't mind having their communities turned into war zones. That lie is a painful reminder that Vector's lickspittles consider his methods of interpretation a breath of fresh air. I, however, find them more like the fetid odor of materialism.
Did Vector get dropped on his head when he was young, or did he take massive doses of drugs to believe that he is a model citizen? You see, there are some simple truths in this world. First, his off-the-cuff comments epitomize our most wild, tendentious instincts. Second, he is like a parrot that makes noises for attention without any kind of clue as to what it is saying. And finally, he wants to get me thrown in jail. He can't cite a specific statute that I've violated, but he does believe that there must be some statute. This tells me that Vector has a strategy. His strategy is to prevent me from sleeping soundly at night. Wherever you encounter that strategy, you are dealing with Vector. If Vector would abandon his name-calling and false dichotomies, it would be much easier for me to empower the oppressed to control their own lives. He says that those who disagree with him should be cast into the outer darkness, should be shunned, should starve. But then he turns around and says that he could do a gentler and fairer job of running the world than anyone else. You know, you can't have it both ways, Vector. Many people are incredulous when I tell them that he intends to attack everyone else's views. "How could Vector be so truculent?", they ask me. "It doesn't seem possible." Well, it is undeniably possible, and now I'll explain exactly how Vector plans to do it. But first, you need to realize that if his cult followers had even an ounce of integrity, they would advocate social change through dialogue, passive resistance, and nonviolence. Let me conclude by saying that we who want to raise issues, as opposed to guns or knives, will not rest until we do.
