It's called War of the Rats and it follows the nazis and soviets in the battle of stalingrad, it is based on a true story but not written like non-fiction, there are several main characters on both sides, and for some reason, I care about the nazi main characters (soldiers) just as much as the soviets...

Anyway, it gets really crazy when about half-way through, the most likeable character from the russians kills the most likeable character from the nazis...

I'm like "whoah..."

It's a totally new reading experience, it's like, you love both side's main characters and all of a sudden they are killing each other in cold blood?!

Man it's messed up.

THAT sounds just like the Movie Enemy At the Gates

with the battle of stalingrad

and how you follow both snipers from each side

It's funny, in one chapter a nazi main character gets nabbed by the covert russian group and interrogated...He tells them some vital info to go, and they let him, I am relieved, then when the russian sniper now has the vital info about another nazi sniper, he can finally kill him...I am satisfied and excited after reading this too...then in the next chapter it hits home that my fav. nazi character (the sniper) is now marked for death and all I can think it "SHIT!"

It sounds interesting. I really do like war stories, especially about WW2. Right now I'm in the middle of Jackdaws.

another good book is called "The Cobra Event" there is a disease going around that like makes people cyco and stuff. and one guy cuts his face, and takes his face off.
