its a simulation game, where you control an entire village, through one person, basically you are thier leader, mentor, and protector, you have to teach them how to survive, how to live, and educate them, so that they learn things.. and then they can help make the village prosper
if you want to think of it as anything
it is a role playing simulation game.. because you do gain experience, level up (of sorts) and control a party, its just that everything happens with the village.. get it?
but i also heard this game is going to be incredibly bloody.. meaning when you kill a t-rex, a little blob of blood won't come out, but gushers of blood flying all over the place would.. i dunno if thats going to happen, but thats what the lead developer said..

exactly, if fable goes according to plan, i won't be playing another game until well into 2004 (much like Ocarina of Time did for me, and No Mercy on the n64, which didn't have many great games, but the great games they had were incredible)
plus all of the games coming out on 2003 like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Ninja Gaiden, Sudeki, just to name a few, will give more opportunities for the system
and if you own more than 1 console, then forgettaboutit!
