The star indicates the amount of posts you have; I have 4 stars, meaning I have over 1500 posts, and when I get to 2000 posts, that will go to 5 stars, and I believe they turn red.

And i think it is
1 star = 50 posts
2 star = 100 posts
3 star = 500 posts
4 star = 1000 posts
5 star = 2000 posts
