Yeah- What is it wiht you and changing your IP address? you seem to be very desperate.

And yes, people can find out where you live by your IP address. It's really easy actually. I'm just not sure how much detail you can get from it. I know of a few places online that you can enter in the IP address and you can find out what city you are broadcasting from or near. For instance, I could find out where you are near. I know that you can go much deeper than that though, it all just depends on what you use. You can even get people's IP addresses from their emails.

Ive only asked you 10 times why the hell you are in tears over getting your IP address changed.

The ONLY true way you can change a static DSL connection's IP addresses is by calling your ISP and telling them that you want them changed.

It seems that you are afraid of being hacked. Changing your IP won't help that in the long run. I suggest you just get off the internet if you are that afraid.

No one can find out where you live or who you are unless:

They find out your provider.
Find out what city, state you are in.
Go to the provider's offices.
Show them your IP and ask for your address.

And the provider probably wouldn't comply.

Okay thats a good thing, so basically the only people who could find out where I live are the cops right? That's a good thing considering they already do.

What exactly is your problem with IP addresses? If anything, you shouldn't be afraid of people hacking your address...it's not a common thing that occurs.
