Default What are those democratic universal values?

Democracy states to exist to defend universal values.
As a self instituted form of government, a democratic country limits the range of intervention to the people it is elected by.
Thanks to the endorsement given by the universal values and through the belief that a government should work for the protection of those universal values, any government can trespass its own legitimacy to go and mess into another country's business.

But what are those universal values?

Any accurate answer (no loose notions please like individual liberties since that expression can mean everything and anything) is welcome.
For clarity, please order the answers from the most important to the least important to you. Please also limit yourself to a reasonable number of those universal values( ten would be good)

Thank you for your cooperation.

@TFBM

For France that would be human rights as defined by the Declaration of human rights.

Why not the de gouge's version? Why not the 1793-1794 versions? Resistance to oppression is no longer a right acknowledged in that form by many democracies around the world, including the democratic france.

Whatsoever thank you for your cooperation.

There are probably no universal values. Even not the respect for human lifes. We shouldn't think that our Western values are universal. We simply exported them but it does not seem to be a great success.

T.F.B.M,

You've written many times that you are a democratic person. That you come from a democratic nation and as a result are democratic, even though you often appear to eschew democracy in your writing. Since you are a democratic person, however, you should be able to answer your own question. So I ask you, are the democratic values? Please be specific.

ps Sorry I've ben away for a while, folks. We've been doing a huge expansion at work and I simply don't have the free time that I used to.

I dont know where that idea came from.
Because of my consistence (a quality not commonly shared among democratic people), it is easy to tell: I've always said I 'm an undemocratic person (less and less) learning how to get democratic( more and more and enjoying a lot democracy by the way). Hence my questions to democratic people to explain their system to me. It is my democratic right to be curious and ask questions.

Instead of trying to derail a thread on something that has no reason to be, why not answer to those obvious questions about democracy: up to now, only one person answered.

Thank a lot for your possible cooperation.

Unfortunately, I cannot access the posts where I saw this because it was on blackpearl, not here, but I do recall such posts. No matter, I had no desire to derail this thread of yours.

If it is your "democratic right" to ask questions, then you could only have such a right or claim such a right if you were a "democratic person". Otherwise the "right" you are claiming (to be curious and ask questions) is a human right or a universal right, not a democratic right.

Before I answer your question, I want to know why you are asking. What do you intend to do with this information and why aren't the sources freely available that answer this question enough?

This is me exercising my (universal) right to be curious and ask questions.
