What is better now with GW Bush reelected.
The US have escaped the messy fate that European countries have sunk into : socialism. Kerry was the last mishap. I suppose people begin to understand why Hillary Clinton as the opponent the democrats need represents the past.
France and Germany are unable to face the New World Order, were everybody should be competitive and use all the means to win competition. They are unable because they chose the wrong system. It seems that their choice to be different to what is logically better is a principle that both of those countries are trying promote especially for the rest of the European Union. The results are blatant, but those countries refuse to admit them. France doesn't compare to anything it was even 25 years ago. It doesn't even count in Europe anymore, where no country listens to the French politicians and the French administration anymore. In fact France has more credit at the UNO than at the European Community Council. Germany, now that it is that big Germany they all dreamt of is in no sense that same sharp and skilled Western Germany. It is more like all Germany has become Eastern Germany by heart, somehow without Bavaria that would better suit to Austria today.
One fact is that GW Bush has engaged the US not only into economic recovery, but also human. Civilized countries are not only declining because they loose competition but because their people have loose morals and they also loose fate. This is all about children and good education. Those principles cannot be taught, learned and appreciated if one hasn't all the responsibility of ruling his own life by his own choices whether good or not. The US is just at the beginning of the recovery. In Europe, the end of the decay is just accelerating. The European as we have known them, the people and their culture, will be history in a couple of decades.

The Democrats have a better chance to win the 2008 elections without Kerry running for president. I thought they couldn't do worse after Gore. Maybe they didn't do worse, but they certainly didn't do better. Is there really no charismatic Democrat?
Isn't it possible to build a large Israel-style security fence around the US? (maybe excluding places like New York) ;)

Well, my defense industry stock will probably increase in value. Other than that, who knows?

It least it is the Bush that has to clean up the shit that the Bush has left behind (wishful thinking, i know), but that's the only advantage i can see.
Oh, by the way, janlefev, how many countries in europe did you visit to gather all this wisdom?

Yes, very strange.
Also a problem with wars is that all the money you put into it seems to disappear in puffs of smoke. Worse, you build a bomb for a million dollars, you throw the bomb and then you are happy when the bomb destroys stuff for 10 million dollars and it is called a good investment. Now let's say that after you conquer the country you threw the bomb at, you're actually responsible for cleaning up the mess ... don't you curse yourself for throwing that bomb? Well, ofcourse you could ask someone else to clean up the mess for you, but that would be very emberassing. Now if you would tell them that they should, because they should have been throwing the bombs with you in the first place ...

That is so true. Bombs are a waste of money and so are wars. Just keep in your own territory and worry about your own people and everything will turn out for the better. This is a life lesson to learn. But people will still fight wars no matter what the cost. Really is strange why people would do that even though they know what may be lost. I think its because of the rewards of winning a war. War is a buisness and a gamble where you have to have the best things to survive or atleast have better things than the enemy to win it. If you do, then you get more money and another country. But if you dont, then you probably go into debt depending on the lenght and cost of the war that was fought.

Well, that is somewhat true, if you could convince the people you are conquering that it is all for the best. If not, and since you can buy arms for next to nothing, especially after a war, you have some very pissed of and very invisible (they seem to blend in so well) people with nasty bombs that just dont want to accept the status quo. Now who would expect that.
