Third-Party Presidential Debates 2004

Third-Party Candidates and Platforms
What issues are the American people not hearing about from George Bush and John Kerry? Hear from third-party candidates about the topics they believe should be part of the national dialogue.

here's one from cspan.org
Libertarian party candidate Michael Badnarik squares off against Green Party candidate David Cobb

the story of them trying to get into the CPD funded
debates has been picked up by slashdot.org , indymedia.org , worldnetdaily.com , ratioanlreview.com

& the Green party has issued a press release:
http://www.votecobb.net/news/arrested

shortnews.com reports:
US Presidential candidates arrested entering CPD debate site US Presidential candidates Michael Badnarik (Libertarian) and David Cobb (Green) were arrested Friday in St. Louis after breaking through a police line barricading the Commission on Presidential Debates event hosted at Washington University.
The candidates peacefully surrendered, protesting the exclusion of their opposing viewpoints and questioning the legality of the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD).
Local police responded to the incidents by delivering two additional busloads of officers in riot gear to the University’s event site.

e-thepeople.org reports:
You would think that Fox News, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC would be all over this affront to the democratic process, but no, not a peep.
Badnarik was also attempting to serve the Commission on Presidential Debates with a “Show Cause Order,” issued by an Arizona judge, requiring the CPD to appear at a hearing concerning the Libertarian Party’s lawsuit to stop the upcoming debate at Arizona State University, as an illegal campaign contribution to Bush and Kerry, an unconstitutional use of Arizona state funds to support selected candidates, and a violation of the LP’s equal protection rights, since they are a recognized political party in Arizona.
If this happened in some other country, what would we call them? Undemocratic? Human rights violations? Unbelievable?
If you think America is a free country, you are sadly mistaken. If you think the news media aren’t controlled by the same people who control the Democrat and Republican parties, think again.

They should be aired cause then the people will know the other side of the story..But I think the people would prefer listening from the President and the Candidate himself..

Most of the Europeans do believe that there are only two parties in the States. Guess which ones!

it just keeps getting better,

FBI seizes Independant Media servers

Aidan White, the General Secretary for the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) had this to say. "We have witnessed an intolerable and intrusive international police operation against a network specialising in independent journalism."

More than 20 Indymedia sites, several internet radio streams and other projects were hosted on the servers.

The reason why the hard drives were taken are unknown.

Orwell knew that memory must be repressed. Not only memory but consciousness of what’s happening in front of you must be repressed, because if the public comes to understand what’s being done in its name, it probably won’t permit it. That’s the main reason for propaganda.

The citizens of the imperial power are the last to know because of massive propaganda campaigns that keep them from knowing. Propaganda can be either explicit or silent. Silence is a kind of propaganda.
