Default Teachers showing videotape of beheading.

Okay no disrespects to the victim or this family. But whats all the hype about teachers showing the videotape of the beheading, I mean it's history isnt it? What make that different than the fields trips to see movies like the holocost, or anything closer to that of the beheading?

What are your opinions on this matter? Any school students in here that have seen this video in school?

If it was a college class, I guess it is ok. But, if it was HS or worse grammar school, then I think showing the video was wrong.

so what makes that different than sex education and showing humans having sex? Why is it good to show sex stuff, but not violence?

It not right to show either. The video of the beheading was brutal and a child in high school can't be expected to handle it. Even if some are, in fact, able to handle it, I doubt most are.

you would be suprised how many high school kids can handle something like that, today, the high school classes are alot more mature then you think with the exeption of a few kids, but on the most part, about 90% of the high school students are mature and can handle seeing the beheading

I don't even think most adults could handle that video.

That video is gruesome and if a teacher showed something like this to my adolescent son I would tear into him like a tornado into a mobile home. That is not his place to show "history". This is to be my choice as parent if I want to expose my child to something as gruesome as this.

You know, even if I didn't know you lived in Texas, that post would have given me all the hints I would need to figure it out.

Just because it's history, doesn't mean you need to show the footage. What more is gained from seeing the barbaric way those fuckers sawed through his neck? Absolutely nothing.

Seeing pictures of war and the holocaust serve a much different purpose. The sheer scale and utter disregard for humanity at large is the lesson in these events. You can't understand them until you see the carnage they wrecked. David Berg, sadly, was just another guy senselessly murdered by ignorant cowards. That's all we need to learn.
