Default Sacrificing Freedom for Security

What freedom(s), if any, would you give up if your government could GUARANTEE protection from terrorist attacks?

I would laugh hysterically at any government "guaranteeing" protection from terrorist attacks. It's like promising that no cataclysm like flood or earthquake will ever occur again.

I agree with Aether. And I wouldn't be willing to give up any freedoms even if I didn't.

Of course no government could make such a guarantee. My question was, and is, IF such a guarantee was possible (which in the real world it never would be), what if any freedoms you would be willing to give up.

I am curious to see what people would give up to be ABSOLUTELY safe.

Well, I would also not give up any freedoms. The risk of being killed as a result of a terrorist attack is negligeble, compared to that of dying in a car crash, for example

NONE!

A smart man once said
One who is willing to give up his freedoms for protection deserves neither...

that man also said, that in this world nothing is certain, except death and taxes.

in that hypothetical world, where government can guarantee me protection from terrorists, i would be willing to voluntarily give up my telekinetic powers.

Wasn´t that Don Johnson, in his neo-nazi flick?
