I guess I would qualify it with "organized religion is bad". Organized religion allows those who would do bad do so without accepting responsibility for their actions. They justify their actions not by admitting that they want more land or more wealth, but because those who have the land and wealth are heathens. (Which, I think, is what you were saying.)
It also fosters a sense of "us" against "them". Rather than all of us being members of the religion of man, each are members of a clique with our own dogma. None, by definition, suffer the existence of an alternative point of view. Even those who profess to follow no religion exclude those who do; we are right and they are wrong.
Can you have religion without organization? I don't know, but I don't think so.

You sure can. I am a non-denominational christian. I believe in Jesus Christ, however I will not and need not set foot into a church to prove such fact as it is proven in the way I act towards my fellow people.
You do not become a Christian going to church as much as you don't become a car going into a garage!

Religion is important and I say it is a good influence. I belive my religion is the best and is "true" and others are not "true". And in the same why, other people of other religions belive that thier religion is the best and is "true"

Thanks for help proving the point of others, devil, that religion is bad. As you basically proved, it leads to conflict and violence. As someone earlier said, I think faith is good, but religion, or organized faith, is bad.

How easily you all overlook the charities and donations organized religion have bourght together. Some of the greatest acts of help come through religion.

It goes both ways, that's how I see it. I'm not saying religion is all bad, but in my opinion it's fostered more bad than good.

Well Basically all it does is create conflict, that is true. But different people ofcourse belive in different things and you cant stop that fact can you? So the solution is for Bush to stop invading the muslims..No seriously. We should just stay in our little Religion and beliefs and not care about other religions and fight over it..Unless it says in your religion to mess with a person of another religion *cough* Bush *cough*

...You don't read very well, do you?
I said there's absolutely nothing wrong with faith in and of itself, that is, believing in a supernatural being, a group of supernatural beings, or whatever. The problem arises when organized institutions, or religions, form. And Bush isn't invading anyone because they're muslim, he's invading them for oil and because he's not very bright.
