Default Iran Still Making Nuclear Materials

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/02/in...st/02nucl.html

Nearly two months after pledging to suspend its nuclear program, Iran is continuing to make parts and materials that could be used in the manufacture of nuclear arms, according to a new report by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Does anyone really care? Should anyone care? Will the UN pile sanction upon sanction on Iran? Should it? Shouldn't the UN just say, "Do what you want, Iran. We may care, but we'll never do anything about it one way or the other"?

Israel has nuclear weapons. Should the UN place sanctions on Israel?

we are still too busy condemning pictures of naked terrorists with underwear over their head to care about theocracies pursuing nuclear weapons.
even if we did, many people seem to think climate change is a bigger problem than nukes in the hands of religious fanatics.

I don't recall Israel declaring she would not develop nuclear weapons. I don't recall Israel claims that she was only interested in the peaceful uses of nuclear technology. I don't recall Israel promising the UN that she would not pursue nuclear weapons. But if you have the link to all these things, I sure would like to see it.

Why should we? Why would we want to? It's a shorter fllight from Iran to Europe than it is to the US.

Interesting that Iran are now starting to appear on the target list... after all... Iraq is getting turned over to the people again. The US will have someone to beat up next and holding true to Bush's form, we pick the next closest one of the "Axis of Evil"...
Maybe I am wrong but surely would be VERY convinient...

Israel has never publicly admitted having nuclear weapons.

Has anyone confirmed the existance of the nukes in Israel? I mean did the UN inspectors get access to sites there or how do you know about that? Oh... wait... it is a US ally, they can do whatever the bleep they want and if worse comes to worse the US will claim the "deposited a nuke there for safekeeping"
