Default 'I Just Pulled the Trigger'

An article that could shake the foundations of this war, through the words of those fighting it.
A must read.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

'I Just Pulled the Trigger'

"What they told me, in a series of extraordinary interviews, will make uncomfortable reading for US and British politicians and senior military staff desperate to prevent the liberation of Iraq turning into a quagmire of Vietnam proportions, where the behavior of troops feeds the hatred of an occupied people."

No comment´s necessary.

No comment's necessary, that has to be one of the most touching stories from a young soldiers view, very disturbing, very disturbing, if it was me in that war I would give and turn the gun to my own head.

It's sad that the ones making the crappy decisions are never the ones who have to suffer.

"There's a picture of the World Trade Center hanging up by my bed and I keep one in my Kevlar [flak jacket]. Every time I feel sorry for these people I look at that. I think, 'They hit us at home and, now, it's our turn.' I don't want to say payback but, you know, it's pretty much payback."

Bush & Co. kept on preaching lies about the connection between Osama and Saddam so long that now they've made all the arabs/muslims responsible for the 9/11 attack with which they had nothing to do.

On whether the war was one worth fighting, Sgt Meadows said: "I don't care about Iraq one way or the other. I couldn't care less. [Saddam] could still be in power and, to me, it wasn't worth leaving my family for; for getting shot at and almost dying two or three times, there's nothing worth that to me."
One part of the human cost of "Bush's Folly"

And another part...
Dead Iraqi soldiers with white surrender flag.

And yet another part...

What the rest of the world probably thinks of the US under Bush:
