The question is..

If Jesus is the son of god and Virgin Mary....then how is Virgin Mary a "Virgin" ;)

And if Jesus is the son of god, why still not give more praise to god then to Jesus?

Did god give up his god throne to Jesus?

Regarding the Virgin birth: A virgin is one who has not had sexual relations. This is evidenced often in women by the presence of the hymen (although this can be inconclusive). Since Jesus was not conceived sexually, Mary would still remain a virgin. Mary conceived Jesus when God placed him there.

In the Christian faith (at least in my interpretation of it), God and Jesus are two aspects of the same being. The Holy Spirit is a third aspect of the same being. In short, the phrase "Jesus is God's son" is only partially correct. Jesus is God. The idea of Jesus as the son of God comes from the fact that Jesus was born to a mother and was therefore her son. The "father" would have been God and therefore Jesus was God's son, however, Jesus is God, not just the son of God (e.g. they are the same). Another way to look at it is: God chose to become fully human (while still remaining God). In order to become fully human, God chose to be born in the form of Jesus. Jesus, while fully human was also fully God.

Since God and Jesus are the same, there is no difference between giving praise to Jesus or to God. God didn't become two distinct beings, instead there is only one God who chose to take human form for a specific purpose while still remaining God.

zteccc is right. Basically, Jesus and God are 2 parts of what is called the Holy Trinity, consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father being "God," the Son being Jesus, and the Holy Spirit being the Holy Spirit.

But how can Jesus be concidered God's son if there were no sexual...er yea.. Exactly. In my religion...it is the same. But to "Virgin Mary", Jesus came to birth as a present from god and also to show power to those that God's power is so great that he can give a woman a child with out sexual...er yea...

Anyway, Mary concieved Jesus without any physical sexual intercourse. There were no sexual relations, as zteccc said, God basically "put" Jesus there.

This isn't an issue of "more correct". It is an issue of our human inability to express things in a nonhuman context.

Jesus was 100% human and 100% God at the same time. That is a belief tha requires a nonhuman context because in this human world, we cannot conceive of something that was 200% of anything. Jesus was a child, born of Mary and the child was placed there by God, so you can use the term "Son of God". That said, Jesus is God which means that Jesu, is placed himself there, so you could just as easily use the idea that Jesus was "Son of Himself" or simply Jesus is God. These are things that we, in our human context, simply cannot rationalize. As such, our language cannot be as precise as we'd like it to be.

Adam was also divinely created by God and as an extension, we can all claim to be children of God, but that doesn't make us gods.

Did God impregnate your mother? If not, then you're not a son of God. Sure we are all connected to God, if not through faith then through Adam and Eve (If you believe so), but we are not sons and daughters.

I fail to see how that makes us all Gods though, just because Jesus was "God's Son", doesn't make all of God's sons gods.

And yes I belive the same thing..People..I cant see how much more Allah has to imphasize this...The first surah (Quran Verse 1 I believe) says There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. It is also displayed on the Saudi Arabian flag. Now to the other thing. We all know that the Quran was never altered and its an original..unlike the other 4 or 3, but anyways, Throughout the whole book it says, allah has no sons no daughters over and over again..I dont see how anybody can emphasize as much..Its something to think about.
