You did a great job at explaining yourself Vicious....good on you! I am happy for you that you can have such strong faith in a higher being in this day and age. I find that few and far between these days.

Well, thanks...to tell you the truth, it is VERY hard to have faith in any religion any more. Don't take that statement like I'm thinking about ditching god or somthing, it's not like that at all. I'm just saying it's really hard for anyone to have faith anymore. But I honestly feel that all that is happening in the world right now is happening for a reason.................I just don't know what it is

I would tend to agree with you. I have always believed that things hapen for a reason. Unfortunately it is hard to understand why the devestating things happining in this world have to happen........but I am 100% sure that there is a reason for it.

You should abandon religion. That isn't to say that you should stop believing in god or losing faith, but rather abandon religion, that is, abandon organized faith, where they tell you what to believe and it all leads to corruption and stupidity.

That is what I did. I used to attend service and sing in the choir. I learned many years ago that if you feel God or a higher being is real and everywhere watching you..........you do not need to attend a Church or group to speak to, or be with that higher being.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the defenition of religion be to believe in a higher being? I don't think the word religion means "Believe in god but don't go to church". Now with that said........

I am the same way. I do not attend church....ever. Never the less I do have a very strong belief in god and jesus. I believe that faith is in the people, not the building....
