Default Celebrating marriage: no longer safe in Iraq.

Or maybe itīs not the marriage itself that isnīt safe, itīs the marriage party!
You canīt celebrate your daughterīs marriage anymore, without having a 500kg bomb dropped on your head.
Just as it had happened in Afghanistan a couple of times, now this fresh definition of "colateral damage" has moved to Iraq aswell.
Maybe itīs just one pilot, with a hardon for trashing marriage parties, that just got transfered to Iraq, eh?
Naaah...

Yesterday there were two bits on news that really touched the twilight zone.
First we had the Israelis firing on unarmed demonstrators, wich makes you wonder what their idea of democracy is. Some 30 or more dead, including many young boys, children even.
And then we get almost a photocopy of that in Iraq, where a marriage celebration was cutted short by a few "smart" bombs that werenīt smart enough to figure out it was just a party, and not a full scale rebellion...
Again, the images repeat themselfs:
Dozens dead, but this time there are many more children amongst the dead.
To tell you the truth, itīs not safe to be iraqi or palestinian anymore.
Why marry your childhood sweetheart, if you wonīt live long enough to enjoy the wedding night? Itīs better to just turn gay and live in Abu Ghraib, where youīll find "friendly" people just aking to take your panths off! At least the chances of eating a 1000 pound bomb for breakfast is smaller, allthough you might end up swallowing more than you can chew, there aswell...
Why is the US struggling to take away their weapons? Let them keep them! Sooner or later, if things go on like this, they will turn them on themselfs and save the US the trouble. Or not. Thereīs a good chance they will feed the US a knuckle sandwich, with all the trimmings and hot lead to boot.

right, a wedding. forget old, new, borrowed and blue, what is really important to have at a wedding are a sattelite com system, $2 million in cash, foreign passports and automatic weapons.

the possession of weapons alone makes them combattants and not wearing a uniform makes them illegal combattants. either way, legitimate targets according to international law.

More than 40 are dead, actually, half of them are women and children. I saw the video of the aftermath of the massacre (shot by Associated Press, I think) It showed a truck full of corpses. The bodies of women and children were easy to discern. But surely they were "illegal combatants" too. They just managed to have a sex-change surgery and mysteriously shrink in size in matter of seconds. Right, genius?

It's not the first time a wedding party is slaughtered by the Americans. It happened in Afghanistan too. To the utter surprise of no one at all, the pilots, responsible for this crime, were found not guilty by the court martial.

WOMEN

Your attitude toward women is wrong -- in Germany. You'll see a lot of good-looking babes on the make there. German women have been trained to seduce you. Is it worth a knife in the back ? In Holland, girls belonging to the resistance made dates with German soldiers. Just after dark they walked their dates along a canal or river. At certain places, Dutchmen waited. Then, a wallop with a sock full of sand from behind, and another unconscious German soldier was shoved into a canal to drown.

One Dutchman now serving with the Ninth Army teamed with his sister to drown 15 Germans in canals during the German occupation of Holland. Altogether hundreds of German soldiers were "liquidated" this way. A French resistor says: "From my experience during five years of occupation, I know that German women are often used as underground workers, and sometimes they are slyer and more fanatic than men."

CHILDREN

Toward children, you're wrong again. You've generously given them chewing gum and candy all across Europe. Don't do it now. All kids aren't friendly and innocent. Yell "Achtung" (attention) at a bunch of these kids and watch them snap-to. That's how they're trained. For what? You guess. A kid can carry messages. A kid can shoot you just as dead as a grown man. Some German kids have been trained for underground work, espionage and sabotage.

In January 1945, a known group of five boys between the ages of 12 to 16 were behind our lines attempting to cut telephone lines. They had been trained for that job -- and others -- in a school of sabotage for boys. The idea was that soft-hearted Americans who like children so much wouldn't suspect kids of sabotage. You wouldn't suspect these five -- just talking to them
from Germany Occupation Booklet 1945
"Don't Be a Sucker in Germany"
(largely still relevant for U.S. troops in Iraq in 2003-2004)

Distributed to 3AD troops in May, 1945, shortly after the German surrender, this 15-page booklet was the 12th Army Group's basic primer for GI's as occupiers. It was then "Restricted" (Classified) info that makes very interesting reading now.

if that really had been a wedding party, then they have qualified themselves for the darwin awards.

Automatic weapons exist in Iraq as fleas in a street dog. Itīs common. Satellite systems are sold anywhere, you can buy one, that it wonīt make a terrorist out of you. After the war, comunications are unexistent. The only way to comunicate was a sat phone. Foreign passports? The site was close to the syrian border, meaning the family is (or shall i say was) spreaded across two or more countries. They had the friggin passports because they came to attend the marriage!! Whatīs so strange about that?
You think those women and children were syrian fighters in disguise?

There's no point, genius. The media and Europe made up their minds on this before it even happened. No sense in getting into a facts war when the facts are few and wouldn't be important anyway.

I'm neither media nor Europe. So, if you have some information, coming from reputable sources, bring it on.

Iīm sorry, but what currency was "seized" again? US dollars? Or was it in dinars? You try taking 2 million dinars and exchange them for US dollars, and then tell me how much you got.
As for international treaties, you of all people should remain silent.
Itīs not the International treaties that i think itīs bullshit, itīs your version of the facts.
And bringing in WWII stuff isnīt helping you.
Just why do you call yourself "Genius" again? Itīs a bloody mistery to me...

Why would I do that? What would it matter? You would still believe what you want to believe.

Besides, I have no more information than you do. Then again, since you have access to so much clandestine information, you probably know more about it than I do.
