It would once and for all show what the US is doing with its prisoners. One can not explain to me that nobody in the current administration didn't know to what extent the US has torchured and abused prisoners, violated the Geneva Convention as well as the Human Rights!

These practices need to stop immediately and the reponsible parties need to stand trial at a war crimes trial. Rumsfeld needs to resign and Bush should be impeached for his despicable behavior. :ass:

The british photos seem to have turned out to be fakes after all. The editor of the Daily Mirror was sacked, and the truck used on the photos was found on the Lancaster Regiment base, in UK.They say that particular truck never left England. The photos seem to have been taken by soldiers at the base, that had just returned from a comission in Iraq.

I´m just curious, how the hell could they indentify the truck from those photos? It´s not like there was a sign saying "this is the one you want", is there? There weren´t any singular features of the truck that could be singled out. So how did they do it?
Magic? They hired a fortune teller?

There are many more pics in existance than have been shown in the media. Even Bush is scared of them "as they are much worse than what the American public has seen to date". I have the funny feeling the media is not showing the whole horror (and it may have been swept under the rug for the "sake of national security").

I am glad the media published the photos. I don't think we have ever seen an Administration where so much information was kept from the people. It is in these times that the fouth estate has even a more sacred duty to shine light on what is happening.

I have read that about 25 people have died under suspicious circumstances and two of the deaths (at least) have been classified as homicides. We are now hearing about more abuse in Afghanistan and Gitmo.

Only by knowing what is going wrong can people demand that such actions stop. Since the government will not tell us what is happening -- we must rely on the press.

According to what has been leaked to the press by people who saw the entire package of photos, there are some that would make the released photos look like kindergarden play.
They are talking of rapes with multiple subjects, insertion of foreign objects in anal cavities causing severe bleeding, forcing detainees to commit fellatio on fellow detainees and prison guards, electrocuting detainees with batery cables, severe beatings, and even murder. They also reported the female soldier having sex with multiple subjects, wich might explain why she is expecting child. Sounds like she was a real slut, miles away from the picture painted by her family that she was a good and kind person.
It was said that many congressmen left the room really shaken up and physically sick, after watching the slide show.
Seems like there are 2 CDs filled with photos, and even some videos, that were passed around from soldier to soldier, like a "snuff" video.
It looks like the US army has quite a few fans of bondage and S&M amongst their ranks...
