Default Playstation's Blood Diamond

I hate to bust everyone's balls here but I just wanted some insight on this matter. Firstly, have you watched Blood Diamond? Well, the concept is not that different. It seems that Playstation 2 needs coltan for one of its components, a rare metallic ore that can be found in Africa. Allegedly, some big mining companies are forcing POWs and even children to work in obtaining coltan. Due to the large demand of Playstation 2 and the low supply of coltan, the ore's price skyrocketed to almost $300 per pound. This instigated the intense mining of coltan in Africa.

Well, I don't know about you but it's something to think about. Even though we didn't know about this, it makes you think, what if the metal in your PS2 came at a higher price?

Reading your thread title I was thinking new playstation movie based game!

Unfortunately I don't think enough people cares, not for the effect of blood diamonds and not for this. I wonder what PS needs this coltan for that neither Wii nor the Xbox uses. In any case just one more reason for me not to buy PS.

They need it for a certain metal that's used inside the PS and apparently, not just PS but other cellphones as well. Well, having owned Playstations, it just makes me think, would have bought it knowing that? Probably not. But still, makes you think...
