Default God Of War!

Man, this place is somewhat dead, but atleast the lounge has some activity.
Yes, it's called God Of War. The BEST PS2 GAME THIS YEAR, and one of the best action games. Period. Go get it.
Check out the reviews if you don't believe me, (I already have it):

As for RPG lovers, get: Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga. But before that you must get Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, two of the best RPG titles on the PS2 which probably slipped under your noses.

It looks pretty insane. Unfortunately, I don't have a PS2.

I'm hoping for God of War on PSP.

Late reply: God Of War on PSP will be cool. Not as cool as the PS2 though.
Anyways, I'm guessin' everyone is occupied with E3 at the moment.

This game is absolutely frickin' fantastic. I didn't think it would surpass DMC3, but it easily did - although I love DMC3 very much, that is a topic for another day.

The combat is flawless, but I like how the game also remembers it is part adventure. Pandora's Temple, is pretty challenging from about every point of view, including puzzles. Seriously, I haven't solved things like these since Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I'm more than impressed.

As of now, I'm in the Architecht's tomb. I think I've just figured out how to get past the second lock of three on the door, but I'm doing it in the morning. I'm about 7 hours in, but it's easy to see this is going to be a short game, like reviews have said.

The biggest gripe I have with GoW is the camera. I find it to be god-awful, pardon the pun. It's not so much that it is a hindrance, a handicap in combat, not... but during platform or puzzle segments, you can't move the camera. You can't move the camera to admire the scenery or even pick out distant chests holding items that you might have missed - you have to leave it all in the hands of the game... and sometimes that really sucks. Hey, GoW guys? Play the updated Ninja Gaiden? Well, you'd better do your camera like that come your next game.

well actualy I was disapointed by God of war! i bought it and had it finished under a week's time, it was interesting but geez i hated the maniabilty, that way couldn't view around and were stuck with a view in particular to do things!
I was so use to using the analogical stick to go around, it was agony here!
din't even want to start all over again with the 'god' mode, sold it on ebay straight after!

I agree with those who say that if you've played Prince of Persia, you've also played God of War. The story line is incomplete, the graphics are only sub-par (despite the glorious praises they have been recieving via rookie gamers) and the gameplay is utterly simplistic. This is a weak game, which is frustrating due to its limitless potential. I was glad I rented first and did not waste the money buying it.
