That's not the point. What if it dies DURING the car ride? There's nothing you can do. If it was compatible with batteries however, you could always bring a million batteries with you, or stop at a convenience store and pick some up.
Don't get an SP now. DS is out.

Car adapter, or do something else other than play SP. Seriously, if your GBA SP was full powered, and you drove all in 1 day and ran out of batteries, I think it's about time to do something else for a bit.
DS did not live up nearly to my hopes and dreams. There's a total of like 1 good game out right now, the touch screen, though nifty, isn't as useful as previously thought, the dual screen is nifty but most games it doesn't really matter, and it's kinda stupid looking and stuff.
Being that PSP is going to release at or under $200, I'm definitely getting it.

It's a lot cheaper than the DS, easier to get (DS may be sold out, though probably not), smaller, plays Game Boy and Game Boy Color games, and as of now it's only missing 1 good game, Super Mario 64 DS, which is a port anyway so just play the original for N64.

With the crappy launch of the DS, the forecast for Nintendo's new handheld looks glum, at best.

The SP sold alot because of the flip screen and the DS because of the duel screen they always make it creative that is why nintendo sells so much.
