Microsoft's X02 events tend to be short but intense time periods of mega announcements and revelations and today's show in Europe was no exception. In addition to unveiling specific plans for rolling out Xbox Live in Europe, Microsoft confirmed the long buzzing rumor that the company had purchased Rare Ltd and announced a brand new original role playing game from the UK's Climax development house.
Even though talk about a Rare-Microsoft union had gone on for most of the summer, the confirmation of the $375 million purchase and the appearances of Banjo, Kameo, Joanna Dark and Conker in the announcement trailer should have a significant impact on the industry nonetheless. Check out our announcement story for more details and a semi-new Xbox-ified preview for Kameo: Elements of Power.

Sudeki is the new role playing game from Climax created exclusively for the Xbox. With four unique characters, humungous environments and all kinds of interactions with neutral and enemy characters, the Xbox could be taking RPGs to the next level. The twist with Sudeki is you'll be switching back and forth between the worlds of dark and light so the same magnificent palace in the light world is a dark and gloomy ruin in the dark world.

Several other details also came out of X02 Europe
