And, you are all forgetting one aspect: a human's average height.
Over several centuries, the humans have succeeded in somehow evolving in their height. When the pilgrims first found America, for example, being about five feet was extroadinary; in fact, almost everyone was no high than four feet! Now, being almsot eight feet is phenomenal, and eventually humans will become very, very tall.
