Ooh ooh I like rap!
You're right, Ali, old school rap does indeed rule, but I don't listen to a whole lot of it. I like old rap, but I don't think it's considered old school yet. My favorite old school rappers are Public Enemy, those two are great, especially in "Can't Truss It". For the most part, I'm not a big LL Cool J fan, but his song "The Ripper Strikes Back" is one of the most lyrically-ingenious songs ever. I'm also a big fan of Gang Starr, my favorite song from them being "You Know My Steez".
Other Rappers I Like:
Tupac
Westide Connection
Canibus
Jurassic 5
Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony
Eminem
Juice (probably my favorite rapper. Most of his stuff is freestyle and is not on CD except for "100% Juice", which is a great CD.)
Mos Def
Some good current songs:
Aesop Rock- "Daylight"
Epidemic- "Magnificent"
Jurassic 5- "What's Golden"
Ras Kass- "Golden Child"
Mos Def- "Wylin Out"
Mos Def- "Mathematics" (I'm not sure how current this one is)
Yeah, you like any "new" guys, Ali?
