There was a time when I actually hated the holiday season. The reason was because my parents were divorced when I was very young and I had to decide who I'd spend the holidays with. If I was with one, I felt guilt about not being with the other. I still struggled with my feelings even after marriage and kids, but it's only been until the past 2-3 years that I started to look forward to the holidays.
