I had two. The first one I bought was used. It stopped reading disc after about a year. I only paid a hundred bucks for it, I didn't really care when it broke. I went out and got the slim version of the Ps2. After a while, it also had problems reading disc. I gave it to my nephew after I got the PS3. He says it works fine for him half of the time. The PS2 is still selling well. I imagine consumers are stupid like me and continue to buy the same defective products from Sony. LOL
