Wow. You guys really wanted to offend me in this thread, and embarrass me. Yeah, both of you. You got me offended, so I'll start with this guy here:

What is this? Some hate mail?
Seriously, did you even consider what I just said?
GTA is more than mainstream. Let alone, the image itself.
Bionic Commando is the next biggest game to come out, and the original's remake is selling like hotcakes. So, what's the matter with you, bitch?
non-mainstream? *Scoff* The font I was using, PS3's best selling Metal Gear Solid 4 font! That's not mainstream!? On top of that, I also used the Xbox 360 font on the "network" font.
Fuck you all. Fuck you, especially, NeoNinja, worthless asshole.
Someone's not being honest with me, and that would be whoever is the owner. I tried to help, but you were not honest in what you wanted.
So, I guess this is what I get for helping a older guy who loves Doom? Haha. You know what dude? Find another designer. I considered mainstream, you fucking losers.

The most important thing about a banner or let alone a logo; is to let it stick out. You need a banner to say "Hey, we're awesome, come and register" and I provided a banner that pulls together and says "we're slick, we've got a nice banner to suck you in. Wanna register?" So, like you said; it sticks out, and that's what counts. Maybe for someone who doesn't have vision, consider the details. What I just said. You didn't understand ....like a stupid person. You want to offend me? Good, because now I have the ammo to just stomp on your feet and tell it like it is.
Nothing is more ugly than a dark grey/black and dark green scheme... yuck. I don't like that combination. The skin is nice, I like it, but not for a font or logo... just.. no. You need something bright, and if you want the banner to blend in with the rest of the image, you need to find a colorful background that blends OUT. Too many banners out there that don't do this. So I thought of just erasing the corners to make the image feel like it blended in.
