Is there really? Is there going to be a first time that a demon possessed chipmunk from Antarctica will become President?
This is, of course, absurd, but we say things like this all the time. I just wonder why. Is it to make us feel better about choices we make (or perhaps won't make)? Is it to mollify us to the idea that regardless of our preferences, we'll be stuck with something that we really don't want?
Don't get me wrong, I actually have no problem with a President from any ethnic background (we're all just human beings with different pigmentation), but if I agree with someone, I support them, if I disagree, I don't. I hope to never simply say something like "there's always a first time" to reason away my choice.
