Hi Bryan Lee,
Did you turn off your speakers to make sure that the noise is not
coming from inside the case? I believe your CPU is overheating,
regardless of what Everest Home Edition is reporting.
Check if Giga-Byte has a motherboard monitor download here:

:: Please help,
::
:: When I play any game that draws on the CPU and RAM (i.e.: Rome: Total War,

:: forced to reboot because the system freezes and a high-pitched noise blares

::
::
:: I've tried everything:
::
:: 1. Checked for virus', none found
:: 2. Uninstalled drivers for Sound Blaster Audigy 2, NVidia GeForce FX 5700
:: and re-installed them again; still a no go.
:: 3. Ran Everest Home Edition for temerature checks; all in the normal range
:: 4. Checked the heatsink, CPU fan, power supply fan and all case fans for
:: dirt and debris; all clean and in working order.
:: 5. Uninstalled all games, defragmented the hard drive, performed a scan disk

::
:: Is it a memory issue? Power Supply? CPU going bad? Or perhaps the sound card
