Hello, about a year ago I purchased new generation tennis and installed it
on my pc. Upon running it for the first time, I noticed it would not start
without the indeo codecs software(I got an error message stating that indeo
codecs were missing). I searched on the game cd, found them and installed
them. I re-ran the game and then it worked.

I have been playing on and off a while now and everytime my system seems to
be greatly overloaded as the system fan works overtime! Mind you, my system
is p4 3.0ghz and my graphics card is ati radeon 128mbs. Recently, while
playing at the professional level the game completely hangs and i must close
it with task manager. Also, upon closing the game i get a direct draw error
message of some sort. I have updated my directx drivers to the latest
version. I tried visiting their online help sites(2-3 official sites)and
while one does not even exist, the others are completely useless. I also
visited the indeo support site and they stated that microsoft stoped
bundling their codecs since 2002. Unfortunately, my system was purchased
after that date and probably does not include indeo codecs. While the game
came pre-packaged with the codecs i am not sure they are adequate enough to
support this graphic intensive game. Also, they dont give their updates
free anymore and i must spend money to purchase it by download. Is it worth
it and will that solve my problem(indeo xp update)?

If this is not the problem then were else should I look? Should I lower
hardware acceleration to midpoint or perhaps make the game compatible with
win98 or win95?
I have reinstalled the game a few times already but it seems to hang at the
same approximate point. Also, please not the software is an original
purchase and NOT a copy!!! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
