Well, then you're saying that,...let's take Islam as an example. You're saying that giving away no more than 30 minutes a day and following some rules that are more like common sense and ending up in heaven where anything you haven't even dreamt of is possible and where you needn't pray no more is something you don't want to do? And you would rather end up in hell? Eternal suffering? And it's not like you are praying for nothing. If you try to count God's gifts to you, you would NEVER finish. And your "bowing" ends when you reach heaven, so you won't pray forever.
I think that's just plain outright silly and stupid.

First off, I'm not sure "exactly" what incident you mean. Care to clarify? We don't have God doing such a merciless thing in Islam on the undeserving. Is it in Christianity?
Second of all, you can't expect life to be a happy-merry-go-round for everyone. God has to test you to see wether you deserve to go to Heaven or Hell. It's not as simple as 1-2-3.

Bingo.

NO. My ulitmate, goal. My praying, my avoiding sin and my abiding, or doing my best to abide by God's rules revolves around the afterlife. Not EVERYTHING I do, because that would be too consuming. Maybe some do that, I don't know.

Again. Let's speak Islam wise, so 30 minutes a day is too much to do so that you can achieve eternal bliss?

You have the choice, my friend. If you obey, heaven. If you don't, hell. So, of course fearing God is part of the process. He is the MOST powerful. Who else would you fear? George Bush? Sadam Hussein? You have to fear God's punishment, and crave the prize you are offered if you obey. That's what I believe.

Besides, motivation is internal, not external meaning it comes from you, not god or anybody else
Again, in Islam. Anything you must do for God, ends when you die. No obeying in Heaven.
Besides, I'd say not wanting to end up in Hell and wanting to go to Heaven is enough "internal" motivation.

Childish.
