My motivation isn't to be the best I can so that I go to heaven and "live" a comfortable afterlife, it's so that I can simply have what I want. I'm an incredibly materialistic person, and my motivation to get up, and work, and try hard is to achieve what I want to achieve, whether that be, in the long run, marrying a nice girl and raising a family, or more specific and not quite as long term goals, such as get good grades so I can get into a good college.
Are you saying that your motivation for every single thing you do revolves around the afterlife? I find that quite unbelievable.
