Anyway, I really don't know, it all depends on how they would choose to rule. If they slowly expanded and eventually controlled like the whole world, then we'd probably be speaking Latin, though otherwise I'd think that we'd have progressed to at least a similar state to today, maybe a bit farther ahead, or a bit farther back, depending on things such as luck, and, as I said, the way the Romans chose to rule.
