If the Eastern and Western Roman empires didn't fall to barbarian tribes and the Roman empire was still intact and the most powerful nation in the world where would the world be today? Would the human race be a lot more advanced then what they are now because the dark ages would have never come to pass? Or would everything remain the same as it was back in 400AD where the world was still consumed with living by the sword?
