Default Re: Can't install slightly older games like Half Life or Baldur's

Hi DayGirl,

Are you getting the C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The System file is not suitable
error message like the others in this thread? If not, you might want to start a thread
about your problem describing what error you're encountering with your configuration.

| new puter, running xp sp2, and followed the above directions, no luck. Any
| suggestions? Like one of the posters, I play DF2 and need a fix after 2
| months of down time, plz and tyvm DG* (was assured this would be an easy
| transition, and has yet be proven, ran win98 prior) beyond irritation at
| this point. Where is the 800 # ?????????????
| P.S. 6 yr old game but i bought a gaming puter to run all games
| (DOOM-able)... this is a lame amount of down time for such silliness. Come on
| MS...this game should run w/o a glitch!!!! (downloaded and updated numerous
| times ... just in case ...) WHY???????????????? pop the disc in, DL,update,
| and play...what's the deal? Frustrating to say the least... plz correct the
| problem.
