Seems like a short term partial solution to the infinite retribution cycle they are in. In no way this can be the final solution, because the Palistinians will never accept the situation it creates.

How much has this conflict cost already, how much will it still cost and how much would it cost to irrigate the Sinai and let the Palistians build a state there?
